     Advanced Strategic Business Planning

Documentation that Excites Investors !

True growth in any company can only come as a result of carefully blending sufficient, timely capital with effective, well planned marketing.    The strategies used to accomplish this (admittedly daunting) task form the foundation on which all great business successes have been built.

Pulling together the twin foundation components of Marketing and Capitalization Strategies creates, of course, the core of a complete Business Plan.   Adding the relevent details concerning the Company and its Management round out the balance.

The importance of a Good Business Plan on the success of raising capital is all but impossible to overstate.    While much has been written and much has been said, in today's ultra-competitive business climate, ... if you expect to successfully raise capital, ... or, if you expect to Dynamically Grow in your Market, ... it all boils down to one very simple rule:

..."you MUST have a VERY GOOD Business Plan."

  •    But ... what Really is a "Good" Business Plan ?
  •    What makes one Plan better than another ?
  •    How do I get a Good Business Plan ?
  •    ... and, above all, which ones GET THE MONEY ?

  •       It is our focus to help YOU answer those questions (... and, at the bottom of this page, our erstwhile managing partner will take a stab at it.)     Suffice it to say that we consider Business Planning to be ...

" the act of properly documenting a sound,
fundamental strategy for capitalizing on an opportunity."

At Fogleman, Rich & Rose, we believe that writing a formal Business Plan is the single MOST IMPORTANT PROCESS in the life of a business.

    Complete Business Planning
and Advanced Documentation that Excites Investors

If, after our Initial Analysis, it becomes evident that both Corporate Finance Planning and Strategic Market Planning services are required, FRRC will provide a Proposal for a Complete Business Plan.   The Plan will tie together the two fundamental elements of Finance and Marketing, as well as add those additional necessary categories, research and details which are appropriate to your circumstances.

This is frequently augmented by Additional Capitalization Documents, which use the Business Plan as a foundation, and which will properly (and legally) present your specific "deal" to potential investors.   (Other Documents include: Private Placement Memoranda [also called "Private Offering" Memos], Market Maker Bulletins, [also called "Broker/Dealer Ticklers"], Term Debt and Convertible Debt Instruments [Debentures], etc.)

    Formal, strategic business planning
    is FRRC's dedicated focus
and is the highest order of service
we can provide to an entrepreneur.

If you are beginning to experience dramatic growth and are considering the ways and means for controlling rapid expansion ... or, if you already have a stable business and have been “kicking around” a (really) good idea for a while ... remember that growth cannot be planned “too well.” It can be over-engineered, overestimated, overwritten, oversold, and even, occasionally, over capitalized ... it is exceedingly rare, however, that a good idea is over-planned.

    General Business Planning Procedures:

Draft - We start with our original analysis, then integrate that with any available previous copy provided.  Working closely with Client management, we develop the original outlines, presentation formats, and preliminary draft in exacting detail.  During this period, Clients are provided virtually unlimited access to FRRC's Team of Experts.  Using interrogatories exchanged via email, fax, or phone, we communicate frequently.   An initial draft will usually be available within 10 days to 2 weeks, and will clearly outline those areas in which additional, more intensive work is needed.

Changes and Formats - Any content or physical changes (graphics, etc.) are done on current, dated drafts, then copied for the Client's records.  After implementing those changes, we deliver a revised draft and refine any remaining areas of questions.  At the completion of this phase, we agree on general appearances and confirm the accounting formats for any projections, substantiations for use of funds, etc.

We Jointly Write the Executive Summary - The executive summary is commonly considered the most important part of a business plan.  If, working together, we can produce something that a banker, capitalist, or a potential merger partner ... will really “get into”... right from the start ... then the battle is nearly won at the onset.  Additionally, this summary creates the copy for press releases, broker/dealer/funder ticklers, etc.

Final Approval - Immediately thereafter, we’ll send a corrected, final draft.  This one will be a “pre-typeset” copy.  It will have final suggestions for typefaces, paper selection, cover ideas, and any images or graphics which will appear in the final.  This time, when a Client examines the draft, we will expect them to "sign-off" on the front page after inputting any final changes they may feel are needed.  In the event that there is still some minor change needed, even this is not a problem as we can isolate any page, create the change, and usually get it to your printer electronically.

Delivery/Schedule - We do strategic business planning as fast as possible and reasonable ... whatever that means.  It usually means that projects average 4 - 6 weeks in duration, depending in large part on the amount of collective effort and time from the entreprenurial team.  Plans are normally delivered in fully typeset, "camera ready" form, with all materials developed in support, including disk copies of all text and spreadsheet files.

And now, our Straight-Shootin' Managing Partner will provide some answers to THE Burning Question about Business Plans which we asked near the beginning of this page.
