The following Plan represents the culmination of a five year, in-depth due diligence process for the vinifera vineyards, winery/chateau, and hotel, and includes a historical review of winemaking in Virginia (the first state to make commercial wine in the New World), comprehensive marketing analyses, and detailed, 14 year financial projections.
The Old Dominion French Winery & Chateau building is being constructed to resemble a sixteenth century French Chateau, and was specifically designed to properly manage the estimated 500,000 to 1 million annual visitors.
The Old Dominion Winery will present visitors with a full overview of wine growing and the wine making process and do it in the beauty and grandeur of a true, “Old World” setting.
The Old Dominion Chateau will also become a first class hotel and meeting place, hosting national and international wine tastings and competitions as well as seminars and meetings of the nearby political and business communities.
